SEMI recently reported that total revenue for North American semiconductor equipment manufacturers in April reached $2.26 billion, up 2.2% from $2.21 billion in March and 17.2% higher than the $1.93 billion recorded in April 2019. This marks the seventh consecutive month that the market has remained above $2 billion.
SEMI President and CEO Ajit Manocha stated, “April revenue figures from North American–based semiconductor equipment manufacturers reflect a healthy equipment market. Despite ongoing uncertainty stemming from COVID‑19 and escalating geopolitical tensions, the industry has continued to perform well under these challenging circumstances.”
