What is a first-of-its-kind product?
The 2023 “First‑to‑Market” Project for Pioneering Products refers to the first‑time application of technological products—collectively termed “pioneering products”—that address critical areas by addressing key shortcomings, filling domestic (or international) gaps, or representing a domestic (or international) technological first. Eligible sectors include next‑generation information technology, pharmaceuticals and healthcare, intelligent manufacturing, new materials, new energy and intelligent connected vehicles, as well as green energy and energy conservation and environmental protection—key hard‑tech fields.

Upon completion, the project’s anticipated technological level should be at least domestically leading among comparable products, representing a first‑of‑its‑kind development in China (or internationally) and contributing to technological advancement in the field. The product’s intellectual property rights are clearly defined, with the applying entity holding independent IP rights to its key core technologies. In the future, it is expected to generate significant economic and social benefits.

The CT X‑ray tube is a core component of CT scanners and is classified as a high‑value consumable. 4. Expanded the supply capacity and competitiveness of the domestic CT tube market, providing domestic imaging manufacturers and third-party service providers with a full range of top-of-the-line CT tube products.

5. Traditional bearing materials tend to generate heat under high-speed rotation, leading to overheating and damage to the equipment, while also posing certain radiation risks to humans. The use of liquid metal materials can effectively address these issues.

Traditional bearing materials tend to experience wear and fracture after prolonged use, whereas liquid-metal bearings for CT X-ray tubes, thanks to their exceptional elasticity and wear resistance, can maintain superior performance even under long-term, high‑intensity operating conditions, thereby reducing equipment failure rates and maintenance costs.
