Core Technology Empowers a Three-Party Ecosystem | The second phase of the “Smart Craftsman Project” delves deeply into unlocking a full‑chain maintenance and service system for CT X‑ray tubes.

2025-07-31

At a pivotal moment in the upgrade of after-sales services for medical equipment, Zhishi Technology, in collaboration with Shanghai Lirui Medical, successfully concluded the second session of its “Zhijiang Project” advanced maintenance engineer training program from July 25 to 27 at the Zhishi base in Hangzhou. This training focused on comprehensive technical instruction and hands-on practice across the entire lifecycle—covering preventive maintenance of CT scanners, the localization of high-end core components such as X-ray tubes, and the diagnosis and repair of common malfunctions. By bringing cutting-edge expertise down to the field and fostering joint development of third-party repair capabilities, the program has set a new benchmark for China’s medical imaging equipment service ecosystem.

Three-Day Intensive Training: A Leap in CT Equipment Maintenance, From Theory to Real-World Practice
- Opening Day: Understanding of High-End CT Systems and Core Component Disassembly.
- In-depth analysis: Engineers visited the Zhishu X-ray tube factory, witnessing firsthand the precision manufacturing process of the “CT heart” and gaining a deep understanding of how the tube’s core parameters decisively influence the overall performance of the system.
- Practical Foundations: Following an in-depth review of the Spirit CT structural framework, trainees proceed directly to hands-on practice, conducting basic tube‑related fault diagnosis and troubleshooting under the guidance of ZhiShu experts, thereby solidifying their foundational skills through a combination of theory and practical application.
- Software and preventive maintenance: Medical experts from Rui Medical provided an in-depth explanation of the interaction principles between the CT software’s logical layer and its underlying hardware. Meanwhile, ZhiShu’s after-sales specialists, drawing on ZhiShu’s standardized tube‑installation procedures, shared practical insights on how to anticipate potential malfunctions through meticulous attention to detail, nipping issues in the bud.

Technical Depth: Building a Multi-Dimensional Capability Matrix for Maintenance Experts
- Introduction to Error Messages for the Emotion Series CT: Interpret the error message and analyze the equipment fault location.

- Equipment Hands-on Practice: Familiarize yourself with the components of the Emotion16 model and their functions.

- Definition Series CT: Interpret the error message and analyze the equipment fault location.

- Definition Series CT: Functional testing and several calibrations related to the tube assembly.

- GE Series CT: Functional diagnostic tools, scan data analysis, system calibration tools, and more—detailed explanations will follow.

Final实战: End-to-End Exercise and Competency Certification
- Mastery of complex structures: The Go Now structural framework teardown and tube‑unit joint commissioning exercise puts engineers’ comprehensive judgment and problem‑solving skills to the test in complex environments.
- Real-machine testing: On GE CT scanners, typical clinical fault scenarios are faithfully reproduced, enabling engineers to independently perform the entire closed-loop in‑service procedure—from diagnosis and tube replacement to final calibration.
- Student Testimonials: Technology breaks down barriers and unlocks service potential.
“In the past, when replacing an X-ray tube, the biggest concern was that inaccurate calibration would compromise image quality. This time, under the guidance of experts and through repeated hands-on practice with specialized equipment, I finally feel truly confident!” — a heartfelt remark from a seasoned maintenance engineer in South China.
“Zhisu’s open factory and testing platform—this level of transparency helps us gain a deeper understanding of both the products and the technology, and makes our communication with customers far more persuasive,” said a representative from a regional third-party maintenance company.

- Crowned with Glory: At the graduation ceremony, Zhishu presented certification certificates to the field‑training maintenance engineers, signifying that they have attained world‑class expertise in safely and efficiently performing preventive maintenance on CT equipment, diagnosing and repairing common malfunctions, and replacing and calibrating high‑end core components such as CT X‑ray tubes.

Beyond Training: Building a New Ecosystem of Mutual Benefit and Co‑prosperity Among Three Parties in Maintenance
Zhishu Technology fully recognizes that operating in isolation can no longer meet the growing demand for after-sales services in the CT‑equipment market. The core strategy of the “Zhijiang Project” is to dismantle barriers between tube manufacturers and third-party stakeholders, enabling deep sharing of technology, resources, and distribution channels, and fostering co‑creation of value.
- Technology empowers, capabilities lay the foundation: Zhishu openly shares its core X-ray tube technology, dedicated testing platforms, and years of accumulated expertise, significantly elevating the technical proficiency and efficiency of engineers from all three parties in handling high-end imaging equipment—particularly medical CT X-ray tubes.
- Direct resource supply, win-win channels: The outstanding third-party organizations and individuals participating in the training will become core nodes of the “Smart Craftsman Project” certification, gaining direct access to a stable and reliable supply chain for high-end CT tubes and critical spare parts, thereby significantly enhancing their market competitiveness and service reliability.
- Platform aggregation, thriving ecosystem: “The Smart Maker Project” is a starting point, not an end. Zhishu will continue to invest in it, transforming it into an open, empowering platform that connects X-ray tube manufacturers, third-party service providers, and end‑user hospitals, attracting more high‑quality partners to join and collectively expand the market for domestically produced, high‑end core components in the aftermarket.
